Moneywort

Moneywort

(Bacopa monnieri) Moneywort or Delicate Water Hyssop. Despite the name this is NOT a delicate plant. It grows smaller leaves and lower than B caroliniana. B monnieri also has more intensely green leaves. It will deal with low light but prefers med low to med to med high light levels. Plant the stems into the substrate and they will grow roots quickly. The higher the light level the lower this one will grow. B monnieri also does well as a marginal plant in ponds or bogs as it can adjust to terrestrial life well. It will bloom if grown terrestrial(emersed) and looks quite nice.

Needle Leaf Ludwigia

Needle Leaf Ludwigia

( Ludwigia arcuata) This a very fine yet long leaf Ludwigia showing great reds at the growth tips and golden yellow/green below. It requires some light and micro-nutrients for the reds but otherwise this is an easy plant. Due to its thin leaves a grouping of half a dozen stems is best. it branches readily so clipping a side branch and replanting will increase the grouping size readily. clipping the tips encourages more side branches!! Pennywort(Brazilian)

(Hydrocotyle leucocephala) Brazilian Pennywort is a very easy and adaptable plant. It can be grown floating in the aquarium or pond, to give small fish a place to hide, or it can be rooted in the substrate where it will multiply by runners. Red Foxtail

Red Foxtail

( Myriophyllum heterophyllum) Red foxtail is surprisingly undemanding and easy to grow, even in moderate light levels. This plant can grow very quickly. It's nice too use with its nice reddish color. It always has a red stem but t he leaves range from coppery to green to red. The red colors can be enhanced by slightly brighter light, iron supplements and a slightly higher nitrite level. Red foxtail is one of a small group of red plants that are actually pretty easy to grow. The biggest problem with this plant is with it's rapid growth it needs very regular pruning. Red Foxtail also makes for a great fry saver plant as its fine leaves give more than ample places to hide. Sold as a bunch of 5-6 stems. NOTE!!! This plant CANNOT be shipped to Maine as it is prohibited

Red/Roundleaf Ludwigia

Red/Roundleaf Ludwigia

( Ludwigia natans aka Ludwigia repens) This is also known as red Ludwigia. The leaves are more rounded than most Ludwigias and the underside of the leaf is a rich bright red. L. natans is very easy to grow taking almost any water conditions but does best at Medium/Low light levels or higher The plant will also grow emmersed( out of the water) in a bog situation very easily and keeps much of its color. The red does reduce slightly and the leaves become slightly more pointed when grown out or above the water. This is sold as a bunch with 5-6 stems per bunch.

Rotala macrandra Pink

Rotala macrandra Pink

Rotala macrandra Pink is a wonderfully rich Plant.. Not an extremely fast grower but It makes a statement for sure.. The leaves have no real stem but seem to come off of the main stem and it all is a rich vibrant green and pink at its growth Apex. Co2 and intense lighting are required to show the intense pink colors. Also if it begine to turn green you know you NEED to do a partial immediately..lol.. This like Good Light and softer water but the light is the absolute requirement. Slightly acidic substrate is also helpful and CO2 can make a huge difference but Excel can make a decent replacement as long as the light is strong though the pink will not be as intense. This is sold as a bunch (5 stems) 7 inches + long.
