Water Hawthorne

( Aponogeton distachyos) these are a beautiful flower and great plant overall. These plants prefer cooler water about 55 degrees F so they work well planted WITH a lily in the same pot.. before the lily is growing, the Water Hawthorne will be doing well and flowering profusely.. in the heat of summer the Lily will be leafy and blooming but the Hawthorne will be dormant. As the lily is dying back and going dormant for fall, the Hawthorne will be leafing out and blooming profusely with its unusual white and purple blooms again.. They smell like Vanilla. Hardy in Zone 5 or higher and can handle lower Zones as long as you make sure the bulb does not freeze. It does well 6" to 2 foot plus of water depth.

Price is for one bare root bulb.
