Common Yellow flower Bladderwort

Utricularia macrorhiza or Common Yellow flower Bladderwort is a very unique carnivorous species. It grows well in water and equally well in bog. IT prefers soft water but will do fine in harder water as well. It doe s like slightly acidic water though. I grow mine in water. This is NOT an appropriate aquarium plant unless you are willing to trim it to keep it under control all the time. It will NOT eat your fish. It eats small almost micro organisms which will fill its bladders until the turn black. It has a wonderful butter yellow flower that will pop up all summer long and even more if the water level is low or it is in a bog. Plant will be sold as a large mass of stems and leaves. It will spread out quickly in water or establish on wet boggy soil.

NOTE: I have this both aquatic and terrestrial. let me know which growth form you are looking for when you order please!
