Marsilea minuta is the smallest of the aquatic four leaf clovers. These are actually ferns but they live underwater with zeal, especially Marsilea minuta. This again is the smallest of the four leaf clovers and grows only about .25" tall and quite densely so it makes one of the best foreground covers. It looks, underwater, a lot like Glosso BUT it grows well in lower light. Where Glosso would grow taller and stringy, the Marsilea minuta stays close to the ground and continues unabated by the lower light. It grows slightly slower than Glosso but that is NOT all bad as it needs far less maintenance trimming to keep lush and healthy.
