US Native(Menyanthes trifoliata)Bogbean, or Buckbean, is an interesting perennial marginal plant that occurs naturally in bogs and marshes across Asia, Europe, and North America. Bogbean is a horizontal rhizome with alternate, trifoliate leaves. The olive-green trefoil leaflets will stick out of the water up to 6" and have spikes of pink and white flowers with fringed petals.Individual Bogbean plants are extremely suitable for container water gardening as they prefer very wet soil or submersed up to 6 inches.

Plant Bogbean directly in the pond at a maximum depth of 6", then the Bogbean will produce very attractive clusters of small star-shaped delicate whitish-pink color flowers. When the petals are fully open they are covered with a soft white fluff, or fringe.

these are sold as individual stems with roots about 9-10" tall
